From October 11 to 14, a forum for youth from Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states, themed "Youth Cooperation for a Sustainable Future: Water, Glaciers, and Climate," took place in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. Participants included Khayrullo Sattorov, Chairman of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan; Akbarshokh Kamilov, Head of the World Association of Youth of Uzbekistan; and Lobarkhon Jalolova, Chair of the International Youth Ecological Committee. During the forum, a framework for uniting young environmental activists—developed by the committee—was presented. In particular, Uzbekistan’s experience in implementing "green" initiatives, as well as the "YouthCAN" platform—which brings together 11,000 activists—drew significant interest from the international youth delegates.
