A visit was made to the renowned Nurek Hydropower Plant (HPP) in Tajikistan—one of the largest in the country and among the highest dams in the world. ⚡️ With a capacity of 3,015 MW, this massive structure holds strategic importance for the green energy and irrigation systems of not only Tajikistan but the entire Central Asian region. 🔍 Through this site visit, insights were gained into Tajikistan’s water policy, its management of regional natural resources, and its efforts to maintain ecological balance. In an era of global climate change, these lessons on the rational use of water and clean hydropower will serve as a vital foundation for future regional youth-led projects!
